Hello – we’re the Meiers.
I’m Immanuel, and the two whirlwinds beside me are my boys.
Mom Myri is usually the one chasing summer, so this time she stayed behind the camera.
I’m really glad you found us here.
If you’ve got a minute, I’d love to tell you the story behind dry®.
Before having kids, I was a passionate snowboarder and skier—spending up to 100 days a year on the mountain.
But when our first son was born, that first winter brought a big question:
How can we ski together as a family—right from the start?
That question sparked the idea for the world’s first indoor skis for kids.
Back then, our little guy was just a year and a half old.
We built the first prototype of what would become the drySki.
A pair of slippers clipped onto tiny wooden skis, ski goggles strapped on—and off he went.
Before we knew it, he and his little friends were zooming through the apartment like mini kings of the slopes.
It wasn’t just adorable—it helped him get used to the feel of skis on his feet, long before setting foot on real snow.
He created ski games. Pretend gondola rides. Apartment downhill races.
And when he hit the slopes for real at age 2, he already had the confidence.
By 3, he was carving his way down the mountain beside us.
It made so much sense that we knew:
This needs to exist—for every kid.
A few years (and many, many late nights) later—with the help of some amazing friends—we turned that first spark into a small family business: the dry® manufactory in Munich.
Our motto is: play. learn. grow.
Yes, it’s in English—because this idea isn’t just for Germany. It’s for kids everywhere.
We believe drySki is the balance bike of skiing.
And we’re here to bring skiing & snowboarding joy into homes around the world—starting in the kids’ room.
Thanks for stopping by.
We’re happy you’re here.
Warm wishes,
Your Meiers
