drySki
What is drySki? Plus

drySki (also written dry ski) is a short wooden ski for indoors. Kids from age 2 practise stance, balance and coordination at home, before they ever stand on snow. Soft wool felt under the ski glides quietly over the floor. A pair costs 169 euros.

What age is drySki for? Plus

From age 2, as soon as your child walks steadily. drySki is made for kids aged 2 to 8 and holds up to 50 kg.

Which shoe sizes fit the binding? Plus

EU shoe sizes 22 to 36. You adjust the felt binding with a hook and loop strap. Your child skis in socks or barefoot, without shoes.

What is drySki made of? Plus

Wood and wool felt. The core is beech, the top layer is oak from the Spessart forest, finished with natural oil. The base is 1.5 mm wool felt from Bavaria. Handmade in Munich.

Which floors can my child ski on? Plus

Parquet, carpet and tiles, in the kids' room, the hallway or the living room. Add the drySlope and it becomes a small slope.

Yes. The finish is tested to EN 71-3 (safety of toys), resistant to saliva and sweat to DIN 53160 and food safe to the German LFGB. As with any active toy, play with an adult nearby and some space around.

Does drySki really help kids learn to ski? Plus

It prepares them. At home your child practises the stance, balance and coordination they also need on real skis. On their first day on snow, the feeling is already familiar. drySki does not replace ski lessons.

My child is rather cautious. Will it still work? Plus

Yes. There is no snow, no cold and no time pressure. Your child sets the pace and tries it in their own room until they feel confident.

How long does the felt last? Plus

A long time. The Bavarian felt is made for many hours of play and was tested in daily use. It is firmly bonded to the wood.

How do I care for drySki? Plus

Wipe the wood with a slightly damp cloth. Brush the felt dry or vacuum it.

How do you spell drySki? Plus

drySki, one word with a capital S. Many people also search for “dry ski” or “dryski”. It always means the indoor ski by dry moves.
